Program Overview

It provides effective, evidence-based support without requiring weeks away from real life, making it a practical alternative to traditional gambling rehab for professionals. Learn more about our approach to professional gambling recovery.

This gambling specific program combines focused therapeutic coaching, structured learning, and real-world skill-building to deliver outcomes comparable to six-week programs — in a fraction of the time. For a day-by-day walkthrough of what each day covers, see our detailed program breakdown. Rather than isolating participants from their environment, the program equips them with practical tools, neuroscience-backed strategies, and ongoing support they can apply immediately.

The focus is sustainable gambling recovery — helping individuals regain stability, rebuild trust, and move forward with clarity long after the initial program ends.

What Sets Our Program Apart

Cohort-Based Continuity

As part of our gambling addiction program, all clients begin and move through the experience together. This cohort-based structure, central to our gambling specific program, builds meaningful peer support and shared accountability — both critical to long-term gambling recovery.

Twice the Clinical Contact

As part of our gambling addiction program, clients receive significantly more one-on-one individual psychotherapy than in standard PHP or IOP models. This increased clinical contact allows for deeper assessment, personalized intervention, and more meaningful progress — all within a shorter, more focused timeframe.

Integrated Real-World Access

As part of our gambling specific program, clients keep their phones and may continue working remotely when appropriate. Rather than removing access, we focus on teaching safe, structured use of technology.

To support gambling recovery, gambling-blocking software is added and clients are guided on how to use their devices responsibly while navigating real-world triggers. Allowing remote work helps clients maintain stability, reduce anxiety, and stay engaged in treatment without the added stress that often comes from putting life entirely on hold.

Private Environment

Clients stay in individual rooms to ensure privacy, comfort, and the space needed to focus on recovery. This non-institutional setting supports emotional safety, personal reflection, and a smoother transition back into daily life as part of our gambling addiction program.

Curriculum-Based Aftercare for Lasting Gambling Recovery

As part of our gambling specific program, Elaris includes a full year of structured, curriculum-based aftercare designed to support long-term gambling recovery. Unlike traditional gambling rehab that ends after initial treatment, our gambling addiction program provides continued guidance, accountability, and progressive learning well beyond the first 10 days — helping clients sustain real change in the context of everyday life.

Standardized Curriculum, Learned Together

Our gambling addiction program follows a standardized, evidence-based curriculum where every participant learns the same material at the same time. As part of our gambling specific program, this shared learning environment allows clients to learn not only from clinicians and facilitators, but from one another — strengthening insight, accountability, and long-term gambling recovery through peer experience.

Multi-Modality Learning Approach

As part of our gambling specific program, groups are co-facilitated by multiple group facilitators, allowing clients to gain varied perspectives while engaging different learning styles. This shared approach strengthens understanding, retention, and real-world application — supporting lasting gambling recovery.

01

Didactic Instruction

As part of our gambling addiction program, clear and structured teaching helps clients understand how gambling affects the brain, what drives triggers, and how patterns form over time. This gambling specific program provides practical, evidence-based strategies that clients can use immediately to support lasting gambling recovery.

02

Experiential Learning

As part of our gambling addiction program, clients practice real-world situations they actually struggle with — managing urges, responding to triggers, and making decisions under pressure. This gambling specific program uses guided exercises and supported scenarios so skills aren't just discussed, but experienced and reinforced in ways that support lasting gambling recovery.

03

Peer Dynamics

As part of our gambling specific addiction program, clients move through recovery alongside others facing similar struggles. This cohort-based structure, central to our gambling specific program, creates powerful accountability, shared understanding, and connection — helping gamblers feel less isolated and more supported as they work toward lasting gambling recovery.

04

Digital Integration

As part of our gambling addiction program, clients learn how to use technology safely and intentionally. This gambling specific program integrates apps and digital tools that help manage urges, increase awareness, and build structure — preparing clients to navigate the digital world with greater confidence and control in support of long-term gambling recovery.

Addressing Co-Occurring Issues

Person finding peace and calm in nature

Gambling addiction rarely exists on its own. As part of our gambling addiction program, we help clients understand and address the underlying issues that often fuel gambling behavior.

Within this gambling specific program, our clinical team supports clients in working through challenges such as:

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Unresolved trauma
  • Chronic shame and guilt
  • Family conflict and relationship strain
  • Ongoing stress and burnout

By addressing these connected issues alongside gambling behavior, the program supports more complete and sustainable gambling recovery — not just symptom management, but meaningful long-term change.

Effective recovery requires more than stopping the gambling itself.

True Recovery from gambling addiction goes beyond stopping the behavior - it's about addressing what drives it. As part of our gambling addiction program, we help clients understand the emotional patterns, unmet needs, and coping strategies that often drive gambling addiction in the first place.

Within this gambling specific program, addiction and its underlying drivers are addressed together — not separately. This integrated approach supports long-term stability, emotional resilience, and healthier decision-making across work, relationships, and daily life, creating a stronger foundation for lasting recovery.

Family Involvement

Family reconnecting through therapy

Gambling addiction affects the whole family. As part of our gambling addiction program, we support loved ones in understanding addiction, rebuilding trust, and improving communication — strengthening long-term gambling recovery for everyone involved.

Family Workshops

As part of our gambling addiction program, we offer family workshops designed to help loved ones understand gambling addiction, its emotional impact, and the recovery process. These sessions provide practical guidance on communication, boundaries, and support, helping families feel more confident and involved in long-term gambling recovery.

Family support and healing

Family Therapy

As part of our gambling addiction program, clients and their families participate in weekly joint family therapy sessions focused on rebuilding trust, improving communication, and supporting long-term gambling recovery.

In addition, individual family members in many states may receive separate individual therapy to help process the emotional impact of a loved one's gambling addiction. When appropriate, we help connect family members with qualified gambling addiction providers across most of the U.S., with some services potentially available at no cost depending on location and eligibility.

This approach ensures both the family as a whole and each individual receives the support they need within our gambling specific program.

Financial Counseling & Recovery Planning

Planning and taking control of finances

Gambling addiction often creates financial chaos, confusion, and shame. As part of our gambling addiction program, clients receive access to one-on-one financial counseling to help rebuild financial stability in a supportive, judgment-free environment.

Clients work directly with a financial counselor to understand where money is going, address gambling-related debt, and create a realistic budget and financial recovery plan. This gambling specific program also includes group sessions focused on financial education, helping clients learn practical strategies for managing money, reducing debt, and restoring a sense of control.

By addressing the financial impact of gambling alongside emotional and behavioral recovery, clients gain clarity, rebuild their financial foundation, and move forward with greater confidence and hope as part of long-term gambling recovery.

Yoga for Self Regulation & Self Mastery

Somatic Movement & Nervous System Regulation

This offering is a therapeutic blend of somatic movement and body–mind awareness, with an internal focus on physical sensation as it relates to nervous system regulation and emotional regulation. The practice is designed to release stress and anxiety, reduce chronic muscle tension, and support the release of stored trauma held within deeper connective tissues.

Practitioners learn to align breath with movement through traditional yoga asana, deep stretching, breath regulation (pranayama), and guided meditation. Each element is intentionally structured to support our clients working with compulsive gambling patterns in reconnecting with their bodies and reestablishing a sense of grounded, higher-self awareness.

This practice emphasizes impulse awareness, restoring connection to the body, stabilizing the nervous system, and rebuilding internal regulation after prolonged periods of stress, impulsivity, or dissociation.

Each session serves as an emotional anchor that supports our clients' recovery goals, fosters grounding and self-trust, and helps cultivate an authentic, regulated presence—both in daily life and during moments of challenge.

Why Elaris Believes in This Practice

At Elaris, we recognize that compulsive gambling is not only a cognitive or behavioral issue—it is deeply rooted in nervous system dysregulation. Long-term impulsivity, chronic stress, and emotional overload often disconnect our clients from bodily awareness and internal cues. Somatic-based practices help restore this connection.

By supporting our clients in slowing down, tuning into internal sensations, and regulating breath and movement, this work strengthens the capacity to pause, notice urges, and respond rather than react. Over time, it builds emotional resilience, impulse awareness, and self-trust—foundational elements for sustainable recovery.

Materials & Integrated Supports

Each practice thoughtfully incorporates guided meditation, precise movement cueing, individualized modifications, custom music, sound healing, palo santo cleansing, and chakra attunements to support regulation and integration.

Added Support

Our clients are invited to connect with the teacher after each session for questions, clarification, and additional support, ensuring the experience feels accessible, grounded, and personalized.
